Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you. The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

So today’s sketch is from the lovely Amanda…….

Amanda did a fabulous job with her sketch and I loved that she provided us with the inspiration photo behind her sketch. Once she did this I pictured my card straight away! I knew what stamp set and matching Thinlits Dies, mostly the Thinlits Dies, that I was going to use and I couldn’t wait to break out my Hang Your Stocking Thinlits Dies and Stamp Set!! This is available as a Bundle saving 10%.

I am quite the traditionalist when it comes to Christmas, I like reds, greens and gold’s. So my card base is a piece of Real Red A4 Cardstock cut at 5 7/8 inches and scored at 4 1/8 inches.  Using the large stocking Thinlit, I did some partial die cutting which left some of the stocking shape on the edge of my card front.

I then made up my cute stockings using the patterned Thinlets in Real Red Cardstock and the base of my stocking and the trimmings die cut from some Gold Foil Sheet. I adhered these altogether first and then applied them to my card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, as I want to post this card and did not want too much dimension.

On my card base I stamped my sentiment, which I have to say I did not even notice when purchasing the stamp set but it is soooo pretty and embosses really well, in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with my heat tool and some Gold Stampin Emboss Powder. I also used two of the tiny snowflake images stamped randomly and also heat embossed for the rest of my card front.

I have to say that this card really did not take long to make, in fact I was quite shocked at how quickly it came together and I really like it. I am planning on re-creating it some more colours, probably traditional but you never know so keep an eye out over on my Instagram page (link in the sidebar) for quick peeks!

Pootlers Blog Hop Merry Mice Christmas Card

bog hop-001Welcome to another Pootler’s Team Blog Hop! This blog hop is to showcase some of the gorgeous goodies in the seasonal Autumn & Winter Catalogue that was released on 1st September.

It’s no secret I love colouring with my Prismacolour pencils on our Crumb Cake Cardstock, I love the way the colours pop!! As soon as I saw the Merry Mice Stamp Set I knew I would be getting out my coloured pencils. I know it may feel a wee bit earlier for Christmas cards but last year I made all of my own and although I did get a head start I still ended up making dozens in a mad rush in the run up to the big day, so this year I am thinking “the earlier the better!”.

20160910_142844_marked_edited

I stamped my carol singing mouse in some Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on to my favourite Crumb Cake Cardstock (3 7/8 inches x 5 5/8 inches). I had so much fun colouring in my little mouse friend. I still need plenty of practice with my pencils but I love finding cute little images like this to use. I added some extra snow accents with a white gel pen.

20160910_142856_marked_edited

I popped my mouse card front on to a mat of Real Red Cardstock (4″ x 5 6/8 inches) and then on to a card base of Crumb Cake Cardstock with some of my favourite adhesive Fast Fuse (cut at 4 1/8 inches and scored at 5 7/8 inches). I stamped my sentiment in Versamark Ink on a strip of Real Red Cardstock and heat embossed with some White Stampin Up Emboss Powder. My sentiment was not completely central…ooops! so I rescued this by adding some white gel pen faux stitching and that is my first Christmas card for 2016 completed!!

Stampin’ Up Flurry of Wishes Christmas Card

P1010762_marked

For today’s cards I dug out my favourite, the Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set which also comes in a bundle (with co-ordinating snowflake punch) saving 15%!

For my card bases I used the Mint Macaron A4 Thick Cardstock  and Tip Top Taupe A4 Cardstock cut at 4 1/8 inches and scored at 5 7/8 inches. For my card fronts I used pieces of Whisper White A4 Cardstock measuring 3 5/8 inches x 5 3/8 inches. I stamped some  snowflakes in alternating patterns with Mint Macaron Classic Ink and Tip Top Taupe Classic Ink.

Then taking some spare Whisper White cardstock I stamped the smaller snowflake images which co-ordinate with the matching Snow Flurry Punch, punched these out and popped them on my card front . I stamped a sentiment taken from the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set in alternating inks. I tied some of the gorgeous Tip Top Taupe Dotted Lace Trim around the tops of my card fronts. I cut some more Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron Cardstock to mat my card fronts measuring 3 7/8 inches x 5 5/8 inches and popped my card fronts up with some Stampin Dimensionals and popped these on to my card base with some more Dimensionals, plenty of dimension in these cards.

For the final finishing touch I added some Pearl Basic Jewels and gave these to some lovely friends of

I love this one, I purchased the Jingle all the Way Stamp Set and the Sleigh Ride Edgelits in a bundle saving 15%!

For my card base I used the Whisper White A4 Thick Cardstock cut at 5 7/8 inches and scored at 4 1/8 inches. P1010773_marked

As I was busy last week with lots of spooky Halloween projects I thought it was high time to crack on with some of my Christmas cards so using the sketch above I opened up my pack of the absolutely gorgeous Winter Wonderland Speciality Designer Series Paper.

P1010751_marked

This card came together quite quickly and is very simple and would be ideal to mass produce. Using some Whisper White Ultra Thick A4 Cardstock cut at 4 1/8 inches and scored at 5 7/8 inches. I adhered a piece of the Winter Wonderland DSP measuring 3 7/8 x 5 5/8 inches.

P1010753_marked

I then adhered a piece of A4 Basic Black Cardstock measuring 5 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches. On top of this I adhered a piece of the equally gorgeous Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack measuring 5 x 3 inches.

P1010752_marked

For my sentiments I used the Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set and a strip of Basic Black cardstock and stamped my sentiment in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Gold Stampin Emboss Powder and popped this up on some Stampin Dimensionals.

P1010754_marked

I did the same for my sentiment, also from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set, on the inside of my card.

Well that is my card for todays Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge, I hoped you liked it.

Pootler’s Blog Hop Flurry of Wishes Tri-fold Card

bog hop-001

Well its time for another Pootler’s Blog Hop. This is the third blog hop and my fellow Pootler’s and I have put together a series of projects showcasing some of the amazing new products from the Autumn and Winter Catalogue that was released on the 1st of September.

P1010695

For my card today I am using the gorgeous Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set. I then used a piece of Whisper White Thick A4 Cardstock cut to 5 7/8 inches x 8 2/8 inches scored at 3 7/8 inches and 7 6/8 inches to make a tri-fold card. On the front (left hand area) I punched a hole using my 2 1/2 inch circle punch. On the right sided fold I lined up the punched hole and stamped the medium snowflake from the Flurry of Wishes set and stamped this through my punched area with Night of Navy Classic ink. Then taking my ink pad and a Stampin Up blender pen I coloured some areas of my snowflake.

Then taking some Vellum cardstock I stamped the image again with Versamark ink and heat embossed with my heat tool and Stampin Silver Embossing Powder. I then cut this out and adhered this to my card lining it up on top of my original stamped image. I then stamped the two smaller snowflake images on to some vellum cardstock and again embossed in silver embossing powder. I stamped the two images again on to some Whisper White cardstock in Marina Mist Classic Ink. I punched both pairs of the stamped images with the matching Snow Flurry Punch. Taking the larger image stamped in Marina Mist and the smaller embossed snowflake I popped these on to the card with some Stampin Dimensionals. I then added some Basic Rhinestones to sparkle up my snowflakes.

P1010696

Going back to the front panel of my card I stamped one of the sentiment stamps in Versamark ink again and embossed in the silver embossing powder and again added some more Basic Rhinestones.

P1010697

For the inside (middle) of my card I stamped another sentiment in Marina Mist Classic Ink and adhered the two remaining stamped and embossed snowflakes.

So there we go my very first Christmas card! There are some amazingly inspiring products in our new catalogue so request your copy above today!
