I just wanted to check in with you today and let you know what I have been up to!
Its been a busy couple of weeks on the Stampin’ Up calendar, we had our On Stage event which I attended, we had the retiring list come out which you can still take advantage of up until 31st May 2016. At On Stage we were lucky enough to get a sneak peek at this years new 2016/17 catalogue which I have to say is amazing and I am so excited!!! We as demonstrators are allowed to place pre-orders for some of the scrummy new delights so we can share them with you in the run up to the catalogue release, which I will be doing so shortly.
Onstage was an amazing day. I got to meet up with my fellow Pootler’s and my Upline Sam. We got to try out some of the new products, we were given lots of goodies (including a copy of the new catalogue) and we learnt so much from representatives from Stampin’ Up as well as fellow demonstrators whom shared some amazing makes and ideas. It didn’t stop there we also had a team training day on the Sunday organised by Sam for her team which again was brilliant, I loved every second of my Stampin’ Up weekend! Oh and bonus I came away with some beautiful swaps, some I have eaten 🙂 (not the packaging hahaha….)
I made some cute little boxes for my swaps. As I have said before, I have to step out of my comfort zone when making 3D projects so I hope my fellow demonstrators enjoyed their swap and the little chocolate surprise inside 🙂
For my boxes I used the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper, co-ordinating A4 Cardstock in Crumbcake, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron and Basic Black. I also used Co-ordinating Classic Inks in Crumbcake and Chocolate Chip, Melon Mambo and Rose Red, Mint Macaron and Garden Green and finally Crushed curry and Tangerine Tango. I used the Flower Patch Stamp Set and co-ordinating Flower Flair Framelits. For the sentiment I used the Many More sentiments Stamp Set and the Word Window punch.
We were set a few challenges that weekend, Sara Douglas CEO of Stampin’ Up set us a goal of booking one extra event every month for 6 months #sixmonthstampingoals. So with this in mind I took part in my first carft fair at the weekend and I have to say I really enjoyed it, I made some great contacts with other stall holders and ultimately got myself out there!!
I learnt a few things too, what people like to buy and I was mainly asked for male themed cards!! So this week that is my challenge to myself, make some male cards. Again, stepping out of my comfort zone and challenging myself…I will be sharing these here with you this week! Also I have a project week planned where I will be sharing some of the amazing project kits that you can get in our amazing catalogues, including a sneaky peek of a kit featured in the new catalogue!!! This will kick off a few sneak peek projects using some of the gorgeous new products.
