So another Saturday Sketch Day has rolled around! I am entering the Freshly Made Sketches again this week and to be honest although this looks quite a simple sketch I really struggled! This week I have struggled to get the ideas that are in my head to come alive on my cards, do you ever have that problem?
Anyway the card I have come up with for the sketch is fairly simple and in one of my favourite colours, Tempting Turquoise.
I took a piece of A4 Tempting Turquoise Cardstock cut it at 4 1/8 inches and scored it at 5 7/8 inches. I then took a piece of Tempting Turquoise Backgrounds Designer Series paper measuring 5 7/8 inches x 4 1/8 inches and adhered this directly to my card base with snail adhesive. I then took another piece of Tempting Turquoise cardstock and cut it to 5 7/8 inches x 3 5/8 inches. Then using my Framelits Circles Collection dies I made a template with a die cut circle out of some scrap cardstock and temporarily covered my piece of cardstock leaving just the circle exposed. Then taking the flower cluster stamp from the Perpetual Calendar Stamp Set and some Versamark Ink I filled this circle with stamped images. Taking some Stampin White Embossing Powder and my Heat Tool I heat embossed all the images after removing my template.
I popped this card front on to my card base. I then took a strip of Vellum about 1 1/8 inch wide and stamped a sentiment from the B.Y.O.P Stamp Set in Versamark Ink and again heat embossed this. I cut banner ends into each end and adhered this over my embossed circle with some Tonbow Mono Multi Glue.
For the inside I just adhered a piece of Whisper White Cardstock Measuring 5 5/8 inches x 3 7/8 inches. I stamped the flower image from the Perpetual Calendar Stamp set in Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink in the two corners and that is my card for today!
Hope you have enjoyed my entry to this weeks Freshly Made Sketch Challenge, why not pop over and check some of the cards out!?
