Make it Monday! I am hoping to post regularly with some creative projects that are not cards to try and push myself out of my comfort zone and showcase the versatility of Stampin Up products. Don’t get me wrong I love my cards and would say its my “thing” but I love all the inspirational projects I see on other blogs and Pinterest and want to recreate them so Monday’s posts will be where I will share my makes with you!
So following on from yesterday’s Mother’s Day theme I wanted to create a little collection of matching gifts that could be given together so for my first Make it Monday I cracked open my Curvy Keepsake Thinlit Dies for their first outing!
I took a piece of Marina Mist A4 Cardstock and popped it and the dies through my BigShot but what I also did was add a circle die from the Circles Framelits Collection to create a window (I saw this on a YouTube video by Creations with Christina). I did this to both sides of the box. Using the next size up of the Circles Framelits Collection I die cut two pieces of Window Sheet to cover my die cut holes. While I had my BigShot out I die cut a tag with one of the coordinating tag dies out of Marina Mist cardstock and out of a piece of some left over embossed vellum from yesterday’s project, you never know when left overs like this can come in handy!
I then glued my two circles of window sheet over my die cut windows in my cardstock and using some Fast Fuse adhesive I stuck my two die cut pieces of the keepsake box together. Such a cute little box!
I took my Marina Mist tag piece and stamped the small “just for You” sentiment out of the Mum’s Love Stamp Set in Marina Mist Classic Ink and offset layered this in top of my embossed tag with Stampin Dimensionals . I threaded some Silver Baker’s Twine through and added one of the ever so pretty Something Borrowed Embellishments and tied it off. I used some sheer ribbon to tie a poor excuse for a bow through the handle of my box feeding my tag loop through before typing my bow.
Then all there was left to do was fill it with goodies mmmm……!!
I can’t believe how super simple and quick this is to create, its perfect for a little gift or for mass producing favour boxes! I can’t recommend it highly enough, it was carried over from the Autumn & Winter catalogue to the Spring & Summer catalogue but who knows if it will make it in to the Annual catalogue so be warned!
Thanks for stopping by, Louise xx
